7.62x51MM FEDERAL 149 GRAIN FULL METAL JACKET (500 ROUNDS)

These 7.62x51mm XM80C rounds work great in a variety of bolt action and battle rifles such as the Remington 700, M-14, FAL, and AR-10. They come from Lake City Army Ammunition Plant, which is operated under contract by Federal Premium Ammunition, a subsidiary of Alliant Techsystems. Thanks to excess capacity, this mil-spec ammunition sometimes becomes available to the public and often gets bought up quickly thanks to its excellent quality.

While not the absolute cheapest ammo available, Lake City rounds are considered some of the best range loads available for shooters who value medium to long range accuracy and consistency but don't want to spend a fortune on match-grade ammo.     My first .308 rifle it Fed the whole case with zero failures. Wanted to mention in different weather extremes as well cold and windy days as well as triple digits just thought I'd reference that.

    Was expecting a little more from Federal ammo. This burns a little dirty and the cases are not bright and shiny as in in the picture. Have had some feeding issues with only this ammo.
