12 GAUGE AGUILA MINISHELL 1-3/4" 7/8 OZ. RIFLED SLUG (25 ROUNDS)
Picture a really small turtle. What is it wearing? That’s right: a minishell. Now picture a 1-3/4” long 12 Gauge shotgun shell that was made by the Mexican military’s primary ammo supplier, which should be easy considering that there’s a photo of it on this very webpage. What is it called? That’s right: a Minishell. This shell is great fun – but it’s also an extremely practical solution for defense, if you would choose to make it one. Once that 7/8 ounce slug achieves its advertised 1,250 fps muzzle velocity, it’s due to slam into a close-range target with roughly the same force as an AR-15’s 223 Rem bullet. The slug is much wider than 0.224”, of course, which only further enhances its wounding potential.
This shell’s slug is relatively light for a 12 Gauge shotgun, and therefore oughtn’t generate very much recoil. Better yet, the short shells will effectively expand a tubular magazine’s capacity. (Note that (A) certain pump-action shotguns must be adapted/modified before they can cycle this ammo, and (B) semi-automatics will not cycle this ammo.)
