This is a powerful, powerful 3-1/2” shotgun shell. Its propellant only sparks up to deliver a 1,125 fps muzzle velocity, which is right on the threshold of supersonic, but its massive shot column is comprised of a whopping 18 00 buckshot pellets. That’s about twice as many as a run-of-the-mill 2-3/4” double-aught load!

This shell has a couple of features that promote tighter patterning. Soft granulated polymer buffering is seeded throughout the shot column, which absorbs recoil energy before it can warp the shot. The pellets’ spherical profiles are further preserved by the heavy cushioning just behind the shot column. That also helps to decrease felt recoil – but even so, this is by no means a low-recoil round!
