CCI’s Quiet-22 cartridge is, as you might have surmised, a quiet one. The 22 LR’s 40 grain projectile issues out of the muzzle at only 710 fps, ensuring that its flight is so far outside the realm of what would rank as supersonic that its report is soft enough to not require hearing protection. CCI boasts that the round only makes one quarter as much noise as a traditional load!

And it’s not just quiet. This cartridge features a segmented hollow point projectile. Rather than conventional expansion, its terminal effect entails its splitting apart into three sections. If we can recall our high school algebra, that means three distinct wound channels, which all at once are more than adequate to put a very abrupt end to any varmint’s day.
