Best suited for 1-9 or 1-7 twist barrels, 62 grain .223 Remington / 5.56 NATO bullets are used in current issue M855 ammunition and produce slightly lower muzzle velocity than the earlier M193 ammo. However, at the intermediate ranges .223 Remington is designed for, there is little difference in trajectory.
