That means its lead core is form-fitted to its jacket, which promotes better gyroscopic stability, and also that it ends in a tapered base which minimizes in-flight drag. Posted onDepending on the rifle used, three round average group sizes were 0.5" to 1.12" - and five round average group sizes were 0.70" to 1.4" bench rest at 100 yards. I hope to conduct an official ballistic gelatin test for bullet expansion, bullet weight retention, and penetration soon. However based on unofficial testing through plaster board, plywood, water jugs and various types of melons, the expansion - penetration and bullet weight retention are pretty decent overall. So far these particular rounds appear to be in the premium ammunition category, at an affordable price. For some time now, premium quality .223 defense ammunition hasn't been readily available to non-military and non-law enforcement personnel.
