The bullet’s high mass, low drag, and rotationally stable concentric copper jacket and form-fitted lead core all account for its high 0.530 G1 ballistic coefficient. If you’re stretching it all the way out to 500 yards, you can still anticipate a trajectory which doesn’t arch higher than ~22.1” (assuming 1.5” sight height, and the 24” barrel the bullet needs in order to exhibit its advertised 2,600 fps muzzle velocity).

Word to the wise: this isn’t hunting ammunition. The opening in the BTHP’s tip is only there because Hornady poured molten lead into the jacket to create a uniformly distributed core. The bullet offers a precise trajectory, albeit not one that ends in terminal expansion.
