Ammo Inc. designed this ammunition to minimize lead vaporization during ignition. They did that by loading it with a 100 grain total metal jacket bullet, which features a copper jacket that completely envelops its solid lead core (unlike an FMJ, which has a jacket that does not encapsulate the base of its core). As such the TMJ does not coat the bore with lead residue, nor is it followed by a spray of hot lead gas when it tears out of the barrel.
