Did ok in my "going bad" pork roast test

Posted onThis ammo performed ok in my going bad pork roast test (I utilize a slightly "off" pork roast or one that is freezer burned and check out expansion when such a roast becomes available). It expanded fairly well but didnt produce the perfect flower petal expansion but parts of the round did expand well enough to call the round effective. The same company makes the same round chambered in 9mm Makarov and it performed PERFECTLY and I think the reason why is the slight increase in velocity that the Makarov round enjoys over the .380. The ammo functioned perfectly in my CZ83, my Colt Mustang Pocketlite and in a Ruger I got rid of as quickly as I could because of its dreadful trigger. This ammo performs as well as the more expensive American loadings and the Makarov round is.....well one of the VERY few Makarov loadings out there in HP design. Ammoman always ships fast as heck and they always package perfectly. I would recommend this ammo at this price point but the best loading out there is the Underwood Defense load for which you have to sell a child to afford.

Posted onhaven't done any kind of ballistic testing on hp expansion.....ran it through a Kahr CW380 which is pretty picky.....no problems.....figure if the hp expands any, its better then a fmc......
