This 40 S&W cartridge features a 165 grain brass enclosed base bullet. Unlike your everyday FMJ, the BEB’s lead core is shielded by a metal barrier that prevents it from vaporizing when hot propellant gasses cook it. The BEB bullet’s concentric jacket promotes good rotational stability, and its flat nose profile helps it to punch a cleaner hole through a paper target.

This Winclean load’s primer is devoid of lead or other heavy metals, so it will keep the range’s air even cleaner when it is ignited. Winchester socketed that special Boxer primer into a new production brass shell casing and gave it a charge of clean burning propellant to light up.
