This Critical Duty ammunition is designed to break through barriers such as sheet metal, wall board, plywood, heavy clothing, and auto glass. The 175 grain FlexLock Jacketed Hollow Point bullet has two key features: the Flex Tip and InterLock band. The Flex Tip initiates expansion that is consistent and prevents clogging. The InterLock band locks the jacket and core together, allowing for more power to take down the attacker. The core of the bullet is made of high-antimony lead, making it extremely tough.

The cartridge has a reloadable, nickel-plated brass casing and Boxer-primer. Corrosion is not a concern with the 40 S&W Hornady Critical Duty loads.
