You don’t have to be a roguish SFPD inspector in order to fire this 44 Magnum ammunition by Fiocchi. You just have to have a suitable hand cannon, healthy bones in your wrist, and definitely some good ear protection unless you want chronic tinnitus!

This round’s 240 grain semi-jacketed hollow point bullet makes it a true jack of all trades. It’s not a high-tech bullet, so it’s not a waste to fire it at some empty bottles (or if you’re really feeling the spirit, a ripe watermelon). It is a flat nose profile bullet, so it’s exactly what a lever-action rifle wants in its tubular magazine.

But most importantly, the SJHP is an expanding bullet. Its nose cavity and the soft, unjacketed lead surrounding it equip the bullet to mushroom outward as it furrows into soft tissue. Its incomplete jacket also helps the SJHP to avert rapid barrel leading, as well as fragmentation following higher-velocity impact.
