45 ACP FEDERAL AMERICAN EAGLE 230 GRAIN FMJ (500 ROUNDS)

Get some target practice with your 1911 or other .45 ACP pistol at a reasonable cost with this 500 round case of Federal ammunition. These cartridges fire a heavy 230 grain full metal jacket bullet at a muzzle velocity of 890 feet per second and serve well as a stand-in for more expensive self-defense hollow points.

This ammo is loaded in Anoka, Minnesota using non-corrosive Boxer primers and reloadable brass cases.

    Put about 200 rounds through my sig and it had no problems but does burn dirty. The whole front of my sig needed to be scrubbed down after a day at the range inside and out.

    First time shooting Federal AE, was dirty and smoky, must use the same powder as Winchester white box rounds. Still a good range round. I used a few different rounds to break in a new XDM and these were a hotter load than the S&B and Rem UMC. I didn't notice any difference as far as recoil and POI. I'd buy it again. The extra layer of protection is well worth the extra $1.50 for semi discrete packing . I'm not sure the factory packaging would have survived UPS handing. The extra/outer box was beat and crushed when I got it but the contents were flawless. I'll get the extra packaging every time!
