(Federal pretty much only puts the “X” prefix in front of this ammo’s designation in order to indicate that it’s not meant for the Army.)This round features a 55 grain full metal jacket projectile. The bullet’s jacket facilitates feeding and reduces the rate of bore fouling, and its boat tail decreases the amount of drag it creates in flight for a flat trajectory.
American Eagle ammo is always brass cased, and when it’s not rimfire it’s ideal for handloading. These rounds’ Boxer primers spark to life the instant they meet with a firing pin, and their propellant is formulated to prevent your rifle from gumming up with residue.

Posted onNo problems with the first 100 rounds of 500. Fired with accuracy at 200 yard 8" steel with more hits than misses. Great ammo, great deal and great company. Will reorder soon but more this time around. I should have stocked up my ammo when ordering but hopefully another good sale coming soon. Highly recommend to all shooters.

Posted onUsed this ammo in our unit training mraksmanship challenge on a B29 human silhouette target...starts at 100 yds and ends up at 25 yds. Six stations, rush in between each... standing, kneeling prone,standing kneeling prone. All shot on target in the 10 score ring except for three, in the 9 score ring.
