With this 75 grain bullet, this round’s lower muzzle velocity is still able to unleash nearly 900 ft lbs of energy – about three times the conservative minimum recommended for personal protection. And Hornady’s InterLock bullet doesn’t stop working after impact. The JSP’s jacket sports grooves around its tip and varying thicknesses throughout its entire length that promote uniform expansion during terminal penetration. The bullet’s hard jacket and one-piece core are anchored together via both a tight cannelure and Hornady’s signature InterLock ring, providing the weight retention that a deep wound cavity hinges upon. This may sound like obvious advice, but you really don’t want to be hit by an InterLock bullet.
