5.56X45 HORNADY FRONTIER 55 GRAIN FMJ M193 (500 ROUNDS)

You can also be an ammo person, because we’re offering sweet, sweet 5.56x45mm ammunition fo’ sale. This is Hornady Frontier: a collaboration of sorts between one of the Midwest’s greatest bullet manufacturers and the U.S. government’s largest ammo factory!

This round features Hornady’s own 55 grain full metal jacket. It’s not an especially exciting bullet, but unexciting is just what you want when your only aim is target shooting. The nonmagnetic projectile’s 3,240 fps muzzle velocity out of a 20” test barrel grants the cartridge M193 status, which pretty much makes this ammo the most popular type of 5.56 for target shooting on the face of the planet.

Lake City Army Ammunition Plant gave this ammo the super dependable noncorrosive Boxer primers and virgin brass cases it needs in order to qualify as “military grade.” Those cases are indeed new and reloadable. They just aren’t polished, which has exactly zero bearing on their performance.
