This round’s FMJ projectile’s core contains a solid steel frontal section. Its hard nose lets the M855 projectile make short work of sheet metal and other hard surfaces at close-to-medium range.

This round’s penetrator bullet does make it magnetic, and its heavier 62 grain weight means the projectile stabilizes best out of a 1:9 or 1:8 twist barrel. A 1:7 twist is also acceptable (if less than ideal) as far as accuracy is concerned.
