Pardon our French, but we say to heck with tiny boxes of 5.56x45 ammunition. We want beefy 200-round boxes – four to a case, as a matter of fact – and we want the ammunition inside to be made in America by Winchester.

This is the standard everyday target ammo you need whenever you plan on getting serious with an AR-platform rifle – or any other rifle, so long as it’s chambered for 5.56. The 55 grain FMJs are uncomplicated bullets: copper jackets, lead cores, and no steel. You wouldn't want to use this ammo for hunting, but it will serve you well during your next trip to the range.

This ammunition is loaded with factory fresh brass cases. They are gray around their shoulders – that is true – but only because they were annealed for added durability without getting polished afterward. Once this ammo’s nonmagnetic bullets, low-fouling powder and non-corrosive Boxer primers are all used up, you’ll be able to employ its brass at your reloading table.
