On the outside, this round’s 35 grain bullet looks identical to a full metal jacket. It has the copper jacket which promotes smooth feeding and inhibits terminal expansion. On the inside, the bullet is completely lead-free. Its core is frangible – i.e. made of compressed copper powder – so it can’t deposit lead residue in a barrel’s rifling or scatter toxic particles into the air during ignition or impact.

When the jacketed frangible bullet connects with a steel target, brick wall or stony backstop, its core gets totally pulverized. That dramatically reduces the chance of a piece of shrapnel whizzing back at the firing line at high velocity where it could put a sour spin on your range day.
