Fiocchi’s Field Dynamics series 5.7x28mm ammunition isn’t quite as quiet as a mouse tiptoeing across velvet … but it’s still pretty darn quiet. That’s the power of a subsonic muzzle velocity!This round’s bullet tips the scales at 62 grains, which means it's over 50% heavier than the average 5.7x28mm projectile. Even though it’s backed by a conventional chamber pressure, the hulking bullet simply will not accelerate until it breaks the sound barrier. That’s the perfect complement to a suppressor, although you’re bound to notice a remarkably soft report even if you haven’t sprung for a “can.”
This round’s bullet is a full metal jacket. It cannot deliver positive expansion after striking a soft medium, which means its terminal ballistics are suitable for varmint hunting at best. But if you just want a nonmagnetic bullet that’ll feed reliably, minimize barrel fouling, and display a consistently accurate trajectory while you’re shooting targets, then this round’s FMJ won’t let you down.
