You’re not looking for fancy-pantsy 5.56x45 ammunition with tons of bells and whistles hanging off of it. You’re looking for the simple stuff: reliable, nonmagnetic, military grade and priced just right for high-volume shooting. In fewer words, you want Magtech!This cartridge is loaded in accordance with our own military’s M193 specifications. That just means it’s crowned with a 55 grain full metal jacket projectile, with a muzzle velocity of 3,265 fps (in conjunction with a 20” barrel). The bullet’s cannelure helps to preserve its original seating depth, which promotes smooth functionality and more consistent ballistic performance, and its total absence of ferrous metals means that it can’t attract a magnet.
Make no mistake: Military grade 5.56 is as effective at neutralizing a threat as you might imagine. But because an FMJ is incapable of producing terminal expansion as it passes through soft tissue, its narrower wound channel and higher chance of passing completely through its target make it less suitable for home defense than a police grade soft point bullet. That’s why we advise strictly firing this ammo at the range.
This is new production ammo from Brazil, complete with noncorrosive Boxer primers that won’t quickly rust up your AR. Virgin brass cases provide reliable feeding and extraction, cleaner performance than steel cases, and the option to reload your own ammo back at home!
