6.5MM CREEDMOOR FEDERAL GOLD MEDAL BERGER 130 GRAIN HYBRID OTM (20 ROUNDS)

Federal's Gold Medal line has long been the standard for factory ammo that exhibits excellent flight characteristics and final accuracy out of purpose-built precision rifles. This new addition to the brand, Gold Medal Berger, combines proven American engineering from both Federal and Berger in order to serve shooters with the very best performance. Each of these 6.5mm Creedmoor rounds is built upon a reloadable brass casing that has been painstakingly inspected for correct wall dimensions, shoulder angles, and flash hole diameter and position. The casing is fitted with a non-corrosive Boxer primer at is base along with a small dose of water-repelling sealant which keeps moisture out during storage or in humid field environments.

Inside the casing is a measure if clean-burning propellant that has been picked specifically for this long-range load. Crowning the cartridge is Berger's Hybrid OTM (Open Tip Match) projectile which has a solid lead core, a copper jacket with tight concentricity, and a proven overall shape which helps the bullet slip through the air with minimal drag; this shape includes a boat-tail in the back, a gently sloping ogive up front, and a very tiny meplat at the tip. The bullet weighs in at 130 grains and Berger suggests that it be combined with a 1:8 twist rate barrel for the best results downrange.
