Pair your Swedish M96 or M38 rifle with this box of 20 "Super Shock Tip" (SST) rounds from Hornady for superb accuracy and devastating results on your next hunt. These rounds have been proven effective on hogs, deer, and even elk by many North American hunters.Hornady has an excellent reputation for developing some of the most cutting edge hunting ammunition in the nation and represents that drive for innovation in their Superformance line. Cartridges in this line-up utilize specialized powders to increase muzzle velocities beyond their typical standards while maintaining standard pressure charges with mild recoil.
The 140 grain SST bullets used in these rounds have a polymer tip, precisely cut ogive, and boat tail rear which all work together to reduce drag and improve accuracy. The hollow cavity behind the polymer tip combines effort with the cannelure and Hornady's patented Interlock Ring in order to provide great expansion on impact while locking the copper jacket to the lead core and maintaining penetrating momentum. The bullets are loaded into reloadable brass casings with Boxer primers.
Out of a 24" barrel, these rounds will leave the muzzle at 2,735 feet per second with 2,325 foot-pounds of energy. The SST bullets maintain their velocity very well and will deliver 1,579 foot pounds of energy out to 300 yards.
