It’s made by Sterling, a subsidiary of Turaç that was founded in Turkey the 1990s (a dark age before online ammunition retailers existed).
This ammo’s cases are made of steel – a much cheaper alloy overall because it does not include copper. You’ll pay comparably less for this ammo, but you’ll also have to forgo reloading it. Steel cases aren’t nearly as supple as brass ones, so they permanently lose their factory dimensions during ignition.
This round’s 123 grain projectile is a non-expanding full metal jacket. It’s got a conventional lead core, although its bi-metal jacket does mean this ammo will pull a magnet. Many ranges take issue with magnetic projectiles, so make sure yours isn’t one of them before you order this 39-pound flat!
