This Czech-made rifle ammo is great for semi-automatics like the AR-10, but its virtually identically dimensions to the commercial 308 Win means you can make just as much use of it when you’re benchresting your whitetail gun.This round has a 147 grain bullet, just like the Army’s standard M80 ball cartridge. The FMJ has no bells and whistles that do anything fancy in the way of terminal performance. (At close range, a 7.62x51 bullet doesn’t really need to expand to do disastrous things to its target.) Sellier & Bellot’s FMJ doesn’t contain any steel that could upset a magnet, and its sleek profile sets its G1 ballistic coefficient at 0.391 so it can stay supersonic until 946 yards.
This is brand new ammo, not military surplus. It has gleaming and annealed brass cases, sealed non-corrosive Boxer primers, and clean-burning propellant. You can indeed reload this ammo if you have the tools and the time!
