The 9mm is commonly loaded with three different bullet weights. This round’s 124 grain projectile is the middle ground, and just heavy enough to deliver an almost supersonic velocity out of a 4” barrel. The full metal jacket doesn’t undergo terminal expansion once it enters soft tissue, which makes its terminal ballistics less than optimal for personal defense. The FMJ isn’t made with any steel, though, so you can confidently let ‘er loose at any indoor range you feel like gracing with your miraculous presence.
