About This Speer 9mm Luger Ammunition
Widely used by both CCW licensees and law enforcement agencies (including federal air marshals and the NYPD), Speer Gold Dot ammunition has developed a real-world reputation for bringing down assailants quickly and stopping threats decisively. Manufactured by Speer (a division of Alliant Techsystems/ATK) of Lewiston Idaho, these 9mm Luger cartridges feature a 124 grain Gold Dot bullet that provides a superb balance of expansion and penetration.Gold Dot bullets use a molecular bonding process to eliminate the risk of core-jacket separation. This makes it one of the most reliable self-defense loads available. Each Gold Dot cartridge is optimized to take full advantage of its bullet weight, pressure rating, and caliber.
Gold Dots use non-corrosive Boxer primers from Speer's longtime partner and fellow Alliant/ATK division CCI, as well as nickel-plated brass cases ideal for withstanding the wear and tear of daily carry.

Posted onI bought this for use in my g23 with a 9mm conversion barrel. I went to the range and shot 2 mags of PMC through the factory 40s&w barrel and then 1 extended 33 round mag of this Speer in 9mm. The 9mm barrel looked like it had 4x the rounds fired through it instead of just the 6 more I had actually fired through it.
I will not be buying it again. PMC, Winchester, and Federal are all cleaner shooting in my experience
