9MM NATO WINCHESTER 124 GRAIN FMJ (1000 ROUNDS)
9mm NATO is kind of like a Goldilocks cartridge. If you think that standard pressure 9mm is too weak – but 9mm +P is too strong – then 9mm NATO is standing by to meet you right in your comfort zone the next time you engage in some serious target practice! This American-made cartridge by Winchester is armed with a 124 grain full metal jacket. It’s a fine bullet, albeit an unremarkable one in the grand scheme of things, with a nonmagnetic gilding metal jacket, solid lead core, and solid point profile that prohibits terminal expansion. What makes the 9mm NATO special is its greater chamber pressure: approximately 36,500 psi, which is ~4.3% higher than standard pressure and ~5.2% lower than overpressure. The 9mm NATO’s FMJ picks up a muzzle velocity of approximately 1,200 fps before it bursts free of a 4” barrel, and proceeds to follow a more level trajectory as a result.
Winchester loads this ammunition in the USA with all their high-quality components, including corrosion-free Boxer primers and reloadable virgin brass cases. Is the shipping for this case of ammo free? Yes – but only when you have the supremely good sense to buy it from your pal the Ammo Man!
Do not fire this ammo in firearms that aren’t rated for +P.
