This brand new olive green DOD M19 spec 30 caliber ammo can is made of sturdy steel from its lid to its hinges to its capable carrying handle, so it’s capable of handling anything. We even put one through the wringer so you don’t have to. We sent one flying off of a 20 foot drop, and were impressed that it came out of the tumble no worse for wear. We got one of our warehouse guys to back over it with his pickup truck, and we’re proud to say that both the can and the truck did splendidly! We even put this ammo can’s watertight seal to the test by submerging it in the official AmmoMan.com bathtub for 48 hours -- not one drop of water infiltrated the can. (We’d have gone longer, but the official AmmoMan.com wife wanted to take a shower.) After such exhaustive research, we’re confident that this can will reliably shield any ammo inside of it from abuse, whether you’d use them for long term storage or transport into the beastly wild lands.

This can will hold 500 rounds of boxed 223 Rem, 1,100 rounds of loose 9mm, or 2,500 rounds of loose 22 LR.
